Meet our instructors and trainers:
Shannon Struhar
While Shannon has her own barn and business, Precision Equine, LLC, we are happy to be able to partner with her and know you will too!
Shannon Struhar, barn owner and trainer, has been involved with horses since she was a little girl of 5 years old. The obsession started out with trail rides on family vacations, and quickly grew from there. Shannon started taking lessons and attending summer horse camps soon after. At the age of 12, she got a horse of her very own! Not too long after that, she convinced her instructor and boarding barn owner to get involved with 4H and create a club at the barn. Shannon spent the next few years as president or vice president of the club and showing at the county fair in the summer, along with many local open shows. She spent a lot of time in a western saddle with her palomino gelding, Dandee. Later, she switched to the hunter world with her heart horse, Shadow. Shadow carried her over any and all jumps or other obstacles Shannon threw her way.
After high school, Shannon attended Meredith Manor International Equestrian Centre. She completed her Riding Master 3 in Fall of 2005. The areas she studied while there were horse training, equine massage therapy, and horse health. She started off in the jumping program, and then switched to the western program for her last quarter. After graduation she spent a short time as assistant trainer at an Arabian show barn, where she worked mostly with the up and coming 3 year olds. Since then, she has worked with numerous horses of all breeds and disciplines as a traveling trainer.
Shannon is a member of APHA, AQHA, and ApHC. She is focused on providing excellent services with a high level of client satisfaction– she will do everything she can to meet your expectations.
